Your membership will provide you with many opportunities to explore the history and heritage of the state of Alabama.


  • Read about Alabama history in the quarterly journal The Alabama Review.

  • Attend the annual meeting each April which features talks, papers, and tours of historic sites and houses.

  • Travel to an historical site for a pilgrimage each fall.

  • Enjoy opportunities for fellowship with other individuals who share your interest in Alabama state and local history.


Your membership begins when membership application and dues are received. Membership dues are due December 1 and are valid for the following calendar year January - December. Memberships received after September 1 apply to the next year. The Alabama Historical Association is a 501(c)(3) organization. All amounts over individual memberships and family memberships are tax deductible.
